Lights, Camera, Digital Action!
some insight into the gear used by AWP
There are two main things to consider when choosing a photographer: the photographer and the gear that photographer uses to get the job done. You can find out a little about me by visiting the "The Man" page to your left. This is the page to find out about the gear I use, and how I currently use it (I'm always refining my technique).

The Camera - Canon Digital Rebel XTi
The camera body I mainly use is a Canon Digital Rebel XTi. This is a 10.1 megapixel digital camera, with great speed and full manual controls. This camera enable me to take fast picture bursts - at 3.5 shots per second - letting me capture some moments of particular importance completely. The full control over every aspect of the camera lets me extend the range of conditions I can shoot in effectively, whether it is low light indoors or bright harsh light outdoors.

The Flash - Canon Speedlite 430 EX
This flash is light, portable, and is designed to fully integrate with all of the XTi's functions, meaning perfect illumination every time, for every shot. Whether it is fast motion, slow dancing, or a backlit shot in the sun, this flash allows me even further control over hard shooting conditions. Using special modes and features of the flash camera combination, I can get very unique and beautiful shots of dancing, ceremonies, and everything else associated with your wonderful day.
The Accessories
Three lenses allow a range from wide to ultra telephoto. I try to stay as unobtrusive in your day as possible, and the telephoto lenses allows me to do just that. Both are relatively lightweight and portable, meaning I can capture the best pictures from the best angles, all the time. I have the capacity to take as many photos as are necessary to capture every important moment of the day, and then some. A full suite of backup equipment means camera failure or minor disaster can be remedied withing minutes.
